2. When did you first develop an interest in music - who or what band inspired you to pick up a
guitar or a pair of drumsticks.
I saw the Monkees on tv when I was in 4th grade, back in the 60's. They kind of invented music videos. I was captivated anytime they played a song during the show. A couple years later I heard Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix on the radio and that was what sealed the deal for me. It was cool being around when hard rock came into it’s own. I was in 6th grade when my first band had a concert in our back yard, there were maybe 10 people there but it was the coolest thing that had happened to me at that point.

3. What music do you listen to?
All kinds. Grew up on Zeppelin, Hendrix, Jethro Tull. Loved the Mahavishnu Orchestra (70's jazz/hard rock fusion). Now I listen to a lot of singer/songwriter stuff too: Richard Buckner, Lucinda Williams, AlajendroEscovedo, P.J. Harvey. Some jazz - Miles Davis. Always into Pearl Jam.

4. What do you like most about performing live?
2 things. Making music is a positive, healing thing and it just feels good to make music. It’s awesome. 2nd is the feeling we get back from the people watching us play. It’s such a great exchange between the band and the people in the crowd. Hard to describe but it’s fantastic.
Doing all this with your own kid is pretty cool too.

5. Favorite food, tv show, movie.
Pizza, steak, Goodrich chocolate malts. Never liked vegetable Original Star Trek, David Letterman.
